Here is How to watch The X Games online
This is how to watch the x games online
X Games Austin 2015 gets underway Thursday, June 4, and the weekend-long ESPN action sports, music, and festival event promises to be unforgettable. This year’s X Games will debut new events, such as Moto X Quarterpipe and Big Air Doubles (don’t miss this one as BMX and Skateboard athletes join forces on the MegaRamp), as well as all of the old favorites, like Skateboard Vert, BMX Big Air, and more. The best part? You don’t need to have cable to tune in. With Sling TV, you can legally watch an X Games live stream on your TV, computer, or mobile device.
The Easiest Way to Watch the X Games Online
This summer’s X Games will be the first one available in full to those without cable TV. While cable’s ESPN and ESPN3 will be combining for well over 20 hours of live coverage (ABC will also be providing some weekend coverage free over the air), you will be able to catch all of the action on Sling TV, a new streaming service from Dish Network that offers live streams of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 (viewed separately through the downloadable WatchESPN app on smartphones and tablets; on streaming devices that include Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and XBOX; or at WatchESPN.com), and about 20 other popular cable channels like AMC, TNT, and HGTV for just $20 per month, no commitment required.
In fact, you can get a free one-week trial to Sling TV and catch the full four-day event at no cost. However, I personally recommend taking advantage of the awesome deal they’re currently running where you can get a free Roku Streaming Stick or take 50% off a Roku 3 when you sign up for three months of Sling TV service.
ESPN and ESPN3’s live competition coverage will showcase the most popular events, including the BMX Vert Final, Skateboard Vert Final, Harley-Davidson Flat-Track Racing, Skateboard/BMX Big Air Doubles Final, and many more. ESPN3 will also provide exclusive streaming coverage of Metallica’s live performance on Saturday, June 6 from 11:30 pm to 1 am Eastern Time.
ABC Offers Limited X Games Coverage Free Over the Air
The majority of X Games coverage will be on ESPN and ESPN3 (ESPN’s web only channel you can watch through the WatchESPN app). However, on Saturday and Sunday, over-the-air station ABC will be providing a few hours of live coverage from 2 pm to 6 pm ET each day. This coverage is free to anyone who has an antenna. ABC’s X Games broadcasts will show events that include BMX Dirt, Women’s Skateboard Street Moto X Best Whip, and Toyota Moto X Quarterpipe. The network will also air an X Games Austin 2015 Anthology on Sunday, June 14 from 1 pm to 5 pm, recapping the highlights of the entire competition.
If you can’t get ABC for some reason, you have the option of watching all of the network’s live coverage on ESPN3 through the WatchESPN app.

In addition to the X Games live stream on Sling TV, there will be bonus coverage of the event at XGames.com. The website will offer some video clips of competition runs, and each night following the ESPN primetime broadcast, it will air X Games Extra presented by Skype. Hosted by pro snowboarder Jack Mitrani, X Games Extra is a post-game show where fans get the unique opportunity to interact with popular X Games athletes over Skype.
